Time
15 minutes
Yield
1 hotdog, 1 hamburger
Ingredients
- 1 - 7 oz box Odense Marzipan
- assorted food coloring
Directions
- Split the marzipan into two equal parts. Divide and dye one half to look like the top tray for your hamburger. Divide and dye the other half to look like the bottom tray for your hotdog.
- Form the hotdog bun by making a long, thick oval and gently folding to make room for the hotdog.
- Roll the reddish brown marzipan to make the hotdog shape and place in the bun.
- Roll the small yellow piece of marzipan into a thin rope and place in a squiggle shape for the mustard.
- Repeat with the small red piece of marzipan for the ketchup and there’s your hotdog!
- Split your light brown marzipan into two pieces and form into the top and bottom burger bun. The bottom bun should be flat while the top bun is rounded on top.
- With the dark brown marzipan, form the burger patty into a thick disc and place on the bottom bun.
- Pinch the green marzipan into a very thin lettuce shape and place on the patty.
- Divide the red marzipan into four small discs for the tomatoes and place on top of the lettuce.
- Make a thin square with the yellow marzipan for the cheese and place on top of the tomatoes.
- Place round top bun on the cheese. Then, with the reserved undyed marzipan, pinch off very small pieces, roll between your fingers and place on the bun to create sesame seeds.
- Here’s your burger!
- Ta-da!
