Halloween Witch Fingers
Ingredients
- 1-7 oz box Odense Marzipan*
- 8 blanched whole almonds
- 4 oz Wilton red candy melts
- 1 tablespoon (scant) Crisco shortening
- *Odense Almond Paste may be substituted
Halloween finger food, Odense style. Use a small paintbrush to paint the fingernails blood red for an extra spooky effect.

8 fingers (who knows where the other two are?)
Directions
- Assemble your ingredients.
- With your hands, roll a small amount of Marzipan to make a rough finger shape.
- Pinch joints into the finger.
- Press an almond down and into the Marzipan to create a fingernail.
- Using your own finger as a model (well, maybe not), etch wrinkles into the Marzipan with a toothpick.
- In a double boiler melt together the red candy melts and Crisco.
- Dip the finger ends and set on wax paper to dry.
- One roll of Marzipan made eight fingers.
