Double Chocolate Chip Almond Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 1-7oz box Odense Almond Paste, divided and grated
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch salt
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
- 2/3 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped almonds
Odense Almond Paste adds extra flavor to this delicious chocolate cookie.

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl beat egg, sugar, butter and 1/2 of Almond Paste (grated using large hole side of a box grater) until light and fluffy.
- Sift flour, baking soda and salt together.
- Combine almond mixture, flour mixture, syrup, chips, almonds and remaining half of Almond Paste (grated using large hole side of a box grater). Mix until incorporated.
- Drop dough by tablespoons* onto cookie sheets. Bake 12-14 minutes or until cookie bottoms are lightly browned.
- * A one tablespoon cookie scoop makes quick work of this step.
