Almond Turtles
Ingredients
- 1-7oz box Odense Marzipan
- 64 whole almonds
- 1-14 oz package caramels (unwrapped)
- 1-4 oz bar semi-sweet chocolate (chopped fine)
These delicious caramel turtles take some effort to make, but they’re worth every second!

Directions
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment or foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cut Marzipan into 16 equal pieces and roll into balls.
- Press 2 almonds on one side and 2 almonds on other side of marzipan ball. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining 15 balls.
- Microwave caramels according to package directions until melted. Cool slightly and with a spoon, cover marzipan with caramel.
- Melt chocolate in microwave or in a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Spoon melted chocolate over caramel layer.
- Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to set turtles. Serve slightly chilled.
- Store candies in an airtight container, between layers of wax paper.
